Meet the Classified Ventures Leadership Team:

Daniel Jauernig

Dan Jauernig

President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Classified Ventures, LLC, Dan Jauernig, assumes a wide range of responsibilities, including the company's strategic direction, business development initiatives and overseeing the operations of its three business verticals. He is also a member of Classified Ventures' Board of Directors and its Executive Committee.

Jauernig joined Classified Ventures in April 2000 from the former Toronto-based Newcourt Credit Group, Inc. a NYSE publicly listed $25 billion global financial services company acquired by the CIT Group in November 1999, where he served as its Chief Financial Officer. As Chief Financial Officer, he had overall responsibility for finance, credit, HR, public relations, internal audit, technology and managing the capital structure of the company, which included numerous equity offerings and Newcourt's largest joint ventures. He participated and served as a director in several joint ventures, including a joint venture between Dell Computers and Newcourt that created Dell Financial Services, a $2 billion lender that underwrites and funds all of Dell Computer's financed sales and Snap-on Credit, a $1 billion joint venture between Snap-on Corporation and Newcourt.

Jauernig is currently a director of Torstar Corporation, a $1.5 billion broadly-based media company listed on the Toronoto Stock Exchange (TSX: TS.B), and HomEquity Bank (TSX: HEQ), a federally regulated Schedule I bank that operates Canadian Home Income Plan, the largest reverse mortgage lender in Canada. He also served as a director of the Toronto St. Michael's Majors, a Junior A hockey team representing a not-for-profit Catholic high school.

Jauernig received a Bachelor of Mathematics Honors Degree, from the University of Waterloo in Canada. He is also an accredited Canadian Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Accountant and a United States Certified Public Accountant.

Jauernig is married with 3 children. He enjoys hockey, skiing and racquet sports.

Mitch Golub

Senior Vice President and President of Cars.com

As Senior Vice President and President of Cars.com, Mitch Golub is responsible for the daily operations that have transformed the company into a leading online automotive destination. Golub's primary focus continues to be on the development of Cars.com's strategic direction, ensuring the company's sales, finance, marketing, product development, media and business development areas are all closely aligned with the company's vision and positioned for sustainable growth.

Golub joined Cars.com in July 1997 as the organization's first employee after a successful 21-year career with the Tribune Co. While with Tribune, he leveraged his extensive background in editorial management to lead the company's new business initiatives, including the creation and management of start-ups in print, broadcast and online. Golub also held a leadership role in Tribune's emerging New Media Group, where key accomplishments included the launch of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel website and the creation of Digital City South Florida, now a part of America Online. In recognition of his contributions, Golub received the Tribune Co.'s first Values Award, presented in appreciation of business achievements demonstrating creativity and entrepreneurialism.

As a result of his expertise and pioneer status, Golub has participated in a variety of industry panels, workshops and speaking engagements. He has been a regular featured speaker at Auto Remarketing's annual iRemarketing Summit, the Forrester Automotive Summit and EyeforAuto. Additionally, Golub provides frequent commentary and analysis to publications such as Automotive News, Auto Remarketing, NADA's Auto Exec and Used Car Dealer Magazine and has addressed consumer interests in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Dick Burke

Dick Burke

Senior Vice President, Administration and Corporate Development


As Senior Vice President of Administration and Corporate Development, Dick Burke is responsible for the organization's technology operations, legal, human resources, communications, recruiting, and facilities functions, as well as the strategic direction and operational oversight of HomeGain.com. He is also responsible for Classified Ventures' affiliate network development and corporate development initiatives.

Burke joined Classified Ventures as Interim General Counsel in May of 1998. Prior to joining Classified Ventures, Burke practiced law at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. and at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Burke received a Bachelor of Arts degree from College of the Holy Cross in 1986, and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1990.

Burke is married with two children.

Kevin Doyle

Kevin Doyle

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Apartments.com

As Senior Vice President and General Manager of Apartments.com, Kevin Doyle is responsible for all business operations of Apartments.com including sales, marketing, finance, product development, production, customer service and technology.

Prior to his appointment as General Manager, Kevin was the Vice President of Sales from 2001 to 2006 where he cultivated and managed relationships with national property-management companies, trained and directed the Apartments.com internal sales force and developed strategic partnerships with organizations and associations that benefit the multi-family industry, property managers and visitors to Apartments.com.

As Vice President of Sales, Kevin was responsible for growing the Apartments.com customer base from 8,100 customers in 2001 to more than 14,000 in 2006. In addition, Kevin was instrumental in the development of programs and resources to facilitate a 90% customer retention rate and building a top-notch sales team consisting of more than 100 customer-centric employees located throughout the United States.

Prior to Apartments.com, Kevin spent 11 years in the technology arena including positions with Headhunter.net, BrassRing, Terra-Starr and Chicago Tribune. Previous accomplishments include creating the first-ever offline career fair for Yahoo Careers and Headhunter.net and contributing to the development of “Silicon Prairie”--a high-tech magazine for IT professionals. Kevin is also a two-time winner of the Campbell Award, a Chicago Tribune top sales honor.

Kevin earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife Lisa have five children.

Bob Gallagher

Bob Gallagher

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Bob Gallagher is responsible for the financial functions at Classified Ventures, including the company’s financial reporting, accounting, planning, financial systems, and treasury functions, as well as other strategic initiatives.  Additionally, Gallagher works closely with the Cars.com team and is responsible for the Cars.com Finance team, as well as the Cars.com Operations team, which includes Customer Service and Account Management.

Gallagher joined Classified Ventures in 2005.  In addition to a public accounting background, Gallagher has over 18 years experience in various financial leadership roles with Ameritech, Andersen Consulting, and Divine, Inc. 

Gallagher is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.

He and his wife, Christy, reside in Bolingbrook, IL with their three children.
