Chicago - Classified Ventures, Inc. today announced the addition of The Denver Post to its network of over 130 affiliated newspapers. As the leading provider of buying information in the on-line classified advertising marketplace, Classified Ventures brings national scale and distribution to The Denver Post’s market leading Web initiatives at www.denverpost.com.

The Denver Post has launched Classified Venture’s cars.com service, which simplifies car shopping on the Internet. By clicking on cars.com on The Denver Post Web site, local consumers can now search for new and used vehicles from local and national dealership inventories and Denver Post automotive classified listings, while accessing a wide range of practical information including financing and insurance quotes.

The addition of the Denver Post marks the first non-investor affiliate to join the Classified Ventures network. Classified Ventures, which was formed by eight leading media companies, has spent the past year enabling its investor affiliates with Classified Venture’s services. David Israel, Classified Venture’s CEO said, "Now that we have rolled out over half of our affiliate network we are increasingly looking at opportunities with non-investor affiliates like The Denver Post. This will enable us to expand into new markets, build more traffic, create higher brand awareness, and ultimately strengthen the overall competitive position of our sites."

The Denver Post is also considering additional Classified Ventures services like Apartments.com, Auction Universe, HomeHunter, and NewHomeNetwork.
